Oscar Gonzalez hit a two-run double in the top of the 10th inning as the Guardians edged the Royals 6-5 in Kansas City. Gonzalez put Cleveland up two runs after the teams entered extras tied four-apiece. Josh Naylor homered for the Guardians, who improved to 69-and-64. Eli Morgan collected the win in relief, while Emmanuel Clase notched his 31st save of the season. Carlos Hernandez suffered his fifth loss in relief for Kansas City, which fell to 55-and-81. Drew Waters hit his first MLB home run in the losing effort.
