UPDATE: Mountain Grove Woman Has Died from Injuries, Man Charged Following Motorcycle Crash Tuesday

UPDATE 9-15-2022 3:00 p.m. Traci Taylor has died from her injuries at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 while being treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Mountain Grove, MO. – A Mountain Grove woman was being treated at a Springfield hospital after a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle wreck where the driver was charged with crimes.

A southbound 2000 Harley Davidson driven by Rodney Vogt, age 50 of Mountain Grove, traveled off the right side of Highway EE northeast of Vanzant at 5:20 p.m. and overturned, ejecting Vogt and his passenger Traci Taylor, age 47. 

Taylor was seriously injured in the crash and was taken by air ambulance to Cox South for treatment. There were no injuries reported for Vogt in the Highway Patrol report. Neither had been wearing a helmet.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report for this crash was updated on the afternoon of September 15 to notify that Traci Taylor has succumbed to her injuries sustained in the accident. She was pronounced deceased Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:50 a.m. by Dr. Tessa Woods at Cox South Hospital.

Vogt was charged following the crash with Operating a Motorcycle when License is Not Valid – First Offense and, Failure to Register Motor Vehicle Annually where he was held in the Douglas County Jail. Vogt has had his license suspended due to multiple DWI convictions.
