Albert Collins, age 57, the son of Harold and Mary (Seiber) Collins was born September 17, 1964 in Cabool, Missouri. He passed away March 24, 2022 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bob, Joe and Delbert.
He is survived by his ex-wife Tammy of Springfield, MO; one son Josh and his wife Sammy of Springfield, MO; one brother Paul of Buffalo, MO; and two sisters, Debbie Elbert of Cabool, MO, and Phyllis Prater of Everton, MO; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Albert grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Houston High School in 1983. He managed restaurants in Houston and Cabool, where he met Tammy Gross. They married in the summer of 1991 in Raymondville, MO. They had one son and in 1993 they moved the family to Springfield, MO.
Albert was never able to rest, he was a workaholic. His main job was at Positronic INC, and he often would work a second job. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and hunting with his family and friends.
Albert was creative and liked working on projects and refurbishing old things and making them new again.
He had a love for animals and raised Shih Tzu. He had one named “Little Man”. He was his best friend and companion.
Albert was a generous and caring brother, father, grandpa, and friend. He always had his door open, and always found a way to help his family and friends that God had given him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service for Albert will take place Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the VFW of Cabool, 13801 Holmes Rd. Cabool, MO.
