Daniel Lynch gave up a two-run home run to Miguel Cabrera in the bottom of the first as the Royals lost to the Tigers 2-1 at Comerica Park. Lynch was charged with his 12th loss after giving up two runs in six innings. MJ Melendez went deep to lead off the game for the Royals, who have dropped three of four to fall to 63-and-92. Jonathan Heasley starts for Kansas City against Detroit this afternoon.
