West Plains, MO. – This week, the City of West Plains modified Howell Avenue between the intersections of Olden Street and Bratton Avenue. This section of the roadway sees heavy use during the morning and afternoon school traffic.
The West Plains School District along with the City of West Plains are hoping that the addition of a turning lane will help reduce traffic issues by the school. The addition of a turning lane of Howell Avenue has removed parking along the sides of the roadway. The school is asking parents and visitors to be aware of the new addition and to use the circle drop-off point at the high school and not block the roadway.
