Alene Trent, 92 years, 11 months, 3 days old, passed on to Heaven on October 26, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
Alene was born November 23, 1929 in Pondfork, MO in Ozark, County to Raymond and Lula (Wolf) Duckworth.
On June 28, 1947 Alene and Lloyd Leslie Trent were united in marriage at Mtn. Home, AR and to this union they were blessed with two sons, Gary and Don.
Alene and Lloyd owned and operated together Trent Refrigeration in Ava for a few years. They also operated an Appliance Store in Springfield, MO.
Alene was a member of the Church of Christ and had attended the Ava Church of Christ and also attended the Southside Church of Christ in Springfield. Alene enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing. She delighted being in the outdoors and loved being surrounded by her family.
Alene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd in 1995; one brother, Amos Duckworth and one sister, Erna “Ernie” Stehle and a grandson, Lonnie Trent.
Alene is survived by her sons and their spouses, Gary & Shirley Trent of Ava and Don & Janet Trent of Nixa, MO; three grandchildren, Casey, Matthew and Curtis; two great grandchildren, Morgan and Jessie; four great great grandchildren; four siblings, Pauline Lee, Elter Lawson, Carolyn Hannaford and Andy Duckworth; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Alene will be Monday, October 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, MO. Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery. Officiating will be Chris Pelts. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
