Howell County Sheriffs Office Arrests One After Pursuit

West Plains, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Office initiated a pursuit on Friday, October 28th, when a man attempted to escape a traffic stop.

At roughly 3:40am, Deputy Jordan Collins initiated a traffic stop on Highway K with a black Dodge Challenger. The driver did not yield or stop, and continued to drive.

The pursuit continued through more of Highway K, several County Roads, and eventually, a private driveway on County Road 4220. The driver attempted to exit the private drive and wrecked when they came into contact with a fence, ending the chase.

The driver was arrested and identified as Magnum Price, an individual with two outstanding warrants, one from Wright County, and the other from Howell.

Price is being held in the Howell County Adult Detention center, and will be facing additional charges in relation to the pursuit and on resisting arrest.
