West Plains, MO. – A two vehicle accident near West Plains sent both drivers to the hospital on Monday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on K Highway, two miles west of West Plains at 11:55 a.m.
A westbound 2006 Nissan Xterra driven by Becky Hansen, age 69 of West Plains, turned into the path of an eastbound 2004 GMC Yukon driven by Marilyn Heady, age 59 of Mtn. View, dealing a moderate amount of damage to both vehicles.

Both drivers had been wearing seat belts and suffered moderate injuries. Hansen was taken to Ozarks Healthcare by South Howell County Ambulance and Heady was taken to the same facility by private vehicle for treatment.
