Some district championship games are coming up for local teams this Friday night. West Plains will host Bolivar in class 4 7pm kickoff with the broadcast starting at 645 on KDY 102.5fm.  The Liberty Eagles will host Mountain Grove in class 2 Friday night kickoff at 7pm broadcast will start with the pregame show t 6pm on The Fox 96.9 FM. The Cabool bulldogs will play for a district championship in class 1 at Marionville kickoff 7pm.

The St. Louis Blues extended their losing streak to eight games after a 5-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.  St. Louis surrendered three goals in the second period.  Ryan O’Reilly brought the Blues within two early in the third, but Thomas Greiss allowed two unanswered goals to end the game.  St. Louis drops to 3-8-and-0 with the loss.  The Blues are at home against San Jose tomorrow night.

 

The West Plains Zizzer swim team will compete in the State Swim meet in St Peters, Friday prelims and the finals will be held Saturday.

 

The Current River Challenge 2022 will get underway Friday Nov. 25th and again on Saturday Nov. 26th at Van Buren. Games that will be broadcast as part of Ozark Radio Sports will be Friday 10:30am Summersville vs Greenville, Noon Woodland vs Eminence, 6pm Van Buran Girls vs Oran Girls and then the night cap game 730 Van Buren vs Gideon. Saturday’s broadcast will be 4pm Winona vs Doniphan, 530 East Carter vs Alton and Van Buren vs Willow Springs at 7pm.

 

Matt Holliday, one of the most beloved players in Cardinals history and a recent inductee into the franchise’s Hall of Fame, is returning to the organization as bench coach under manager Oliver Marmol.

 

The NFL on Tuesday announced the 2022 season’s first flex scheduling change. Week 11’s Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers matchup on Nov. 20 will now be featured on Sunday Night Football (NBC; 8:20 p.m. ET). The AFC West showdown replaces the Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers game originally scheduled for SNF. Bengals-Steelers will move to 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS that Sunday, which was the original slot for Chiefs-Chargers. This coming Sunday the Chiefs host the Jaguars at noon on CB
