Vehicle Investigation Call Leads to Arrest

Ava, MO. – An Ava man has been arrested after threatening police while intoxicated on November 19th.

At roughly 2am, Deputy Box of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call where a suspicious vehicle was parked near a residence, repeatedly turning their headlights off and on.

After approaching the vehicle, Deputy Box found Kenneth Prock of Ava unconscious and intoxicated within the vehicle. Prock is a known convicted felon by local law enforcement. Prock refused a sobriety test and a firearm was found within the vehicle. The felon threatened to kill law enforcement during the incident.

Prock was arrested and a warrant was issued for Felony DWI, Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, 2nd Degree Harassment, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License.
