Mountain Grove, MO. – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man from Mountain Grove on December 13th, on a warrant that involved Kidnapping, Assault, and Drug charges.
Detective Nathan Long of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department was the investigator of the original incident that took place in October of this year. The arrestee, Shawn Huntsman, 49, had assaulted a female victim by choking her unconscious and more; and attempted to keep her at a residence while he searched for an unknown item.
Huntsman has a history of previous offences with multiple law enforcement agencies in the area, including but not limited to resisting arrest, stealing, and leaving the scene of an accident.
Huntsman’s bond has been set at $15,000, cash only.
