Severe Weather Likely in the Ozarks Today and into Tonight

For our readers to may not have taken a look at weather forecasts or heard us over the air, conditions are shaping up to turn into storms with possible tornado power in the Ozarks.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, the first storms will develop over our listening area, and will move Northeast, and afterward more are expected to develop in Kansas and wash over our area again. Most rainfall is expected to begin around roughly 3pm.

Primary hazards expected in this storm are hail and damaging wind gusts, with lightning being a possibility. There is also a “limited threat” of tornadoes as we experience the incoming storms.

Flooding is also a distinct possibility in the area, and we advise people to be wary of flooded area, as flooding is expected to continue through the night.
