West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Zizzers took on the Camdenton Lakers at the West Plains High School on Tuesday, January 17. The Zizzers were looking to end a long losing streak against a team who had 7 wins to start their season, the Lakers.
The game started with a quick lead by the Lakers only for the Zizzers to take the lead back and hold it for the rest of the game. The first quarter ended with the Zizzers ahead by three, 17 to 14. The second quarter saw the Zizzers quadruple their lead with a score of 37 to 25, a twelve point lead.
The Zizzers began the third quarter, keeping the momentum of the first half, holding the Lakers back with an eleven point lead, 49 to 38. In the final quarter of the game, Camdenton pushed harder as West Plains offense slowed somewhat. By the end of regulation, the Zizzers came out victorious over their competitors from the north.
The West Plains Zizzers defeat the Camdenton Lakers, 63 to 56. The Zizzers next play on Friday, January 20th against the Branson Pirates.
