Route 137 & 63 reduced to one lane in Willow Springs for sidewalk work

WILLOW SPRINGS – Route 137 and Business 63 in Willow Springs will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews construct sidewalks. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Weather permitting, work will take place today, Feb. 22 through Saturday, March 25 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. including weekends as necessary. Work will take place at the following locations in Willow Springs, Missouri:

On Route 137:

• West Valley Street to the BNSF Railroad Bridge
• Walnut Street to 7th Street

On Business 63:

  • Pine Street to just south of Cherry Street
  • Summit Street to Garfield Street.

The work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
