Ellis Bert Jones Jr. was born June 11, 1943 at Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Ellis and Myrtle (Burnham) Jones. He passed away February 8, 2023 at his home in Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 79.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Stevens in 1962 and they spent 26 years together. They were blessed with 2 children, Steven and Kristen.
Bert grew up in Mt. Vernon and Champaign, Illinois. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters union local 149 of Champaign for 50 years.
He enjoyed building and riding motorcycles and stock race cars. He retired to the Ozarks in 2005.
Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Sr. and Myrtle Jones; sisters, Naida, Nona and Linda.
He is survived by his children, Steven Jones and Kristen Jones; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 10 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. He was loved by many.
