The two individuals involved in a boating accident Thursday on the White River that led to one drowning have been identified.
This information comes to us from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission which states that both men were from Missouri. The first was John Mauretto, 72 of Dardenne Prairie, and David Guckes, 71 of Labadie.

This accident occurred when the boat the pair were on ran out of fuel and then attempted to restart the motor, colliding with a boat dock, and capsizing. Guckes swam to shore and was rescued, Mauretto, however, drowned in the event.
