West Plains, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Office released an announcement earlier this week, giving the public a report on an arrest where a man had been arrested in a case spanning across several towns, including both Howell and Texas Counties.
The investigation began when a known criminal element had broken into a business in Willow Springs on March 31st, and used the entry to steal the keys to a Dodge Ram, which was taken from the property.
The man, identified as Dalton Houck of Mountain View, was found on April 1st in another location and was arrested. Both the keys and methamphetamine were found.
The missing vehicle was found at a residence in Licking, and further investigation of the residence also led to the recovery of two stolen motorcycles. Houck is being charged with Stealing a Motor Vehicle, 2nd Degree Burglary, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond is set at $10,000.
