Vehicular Accident involving an Ambulance Injures Three Thayer Residents

Thayer, MO. – Three individuals from Thayer, MO, are recovering in Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains following a two-vehicle accident involving an ambulance on US 63.

This Oregon County crash occurred around 6pm on April 17th, just two miles North of the Thayer city limits. A Ford Ranger, driven by Trace Fuselier, 20 of Thayer, changed lanes, moving into the path of an Oregon County Ambulance. According to the report, the crash caused both vehicles to travel off the roadway.

The Ranger was totaled, and the E350 was extensively damaged. The driver and a passenger of the ambulance, Oregon County EMS employees James Clarke, 50, and Alonzo Tillery, both of Thayer, suffered minor injuries; Fuselier was inflicted with injuries listed as moderate in severity.

This accident was investigated by the MSHP’s T.D. Pond of Troop G and was attended by South Howell County Ambulance, Fulton County EMS, and the departments of the Thayer Police and Oregon County Sheriff.
