The St. Louis Cardinals announced on Sunday that longtime Cardinals player and announcer Mike Shannon passed away at the age of 83. Shannon was part of two World Championship teams (1964,1967) during his playing career that spanned from 1962-1970. In 1972 he moved into the radio booth and remained the radio announcer until his retirement in 2021. Mike Shannon is a member of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame.
