St. Louis Man Drowns in North Fork River

North Fork River, MO. – A fatal drowning event occurred yesterday, April 30th, according to a recent incident report from Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

This event is listed as having happened around 10am, and happened somewhere upstream from Sunburst Ranch. Richard Brasington, a 71-year-old male, is reported as having been wading in the river to fish before drowning.

The Ozark County Coroner Gene Britt pronounced the man deceased at 2:15pm. This marks the 4th drowning victim for Troop G in 2023, compared to 0 at this time in 2022.

The investigator of this case was Corporal J.R. Roberts.
