Mountain Home, AR. – A Yellville 19-year-old is being charged for his alleged involvement in helping runaway Aubrey Halliday in mid-April last month.

Stephen Gray, the 19-year-old Yellville resident, was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on May 6th of 2023 at 5:31pm on charges including Felony Interference with Custody, and a Misdemeanor of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

This comes about as testimony from Halliday states that she reached out to and met with Gray on the day of her disappearance, and requested his help in escaping. She then went on to state that Gray had set up a ride for her to West Plains, which was where she had been located on April 20th.

This comes in contrary to statements Gray had provided to Law Enforcement during the investigation, where he stated that he had lost track of Halliday after he left a motel room they had gotten on April 18th.

A petition for a protection order against Gray was filed on April 10th by a relative. It is reported Gray turned himself over to law enforcement.
