The rain cleared just in time for Friday’s annual West Plains Chamber of Commerce Caddyshack Classic Golf Tournament. The thirty-two 3-person scramble teams began Shot-Gun style at the West Plains Country Club to vie for raffle prizes, and a chance to make a hole in one shot for a ‘Clear Creek Golf Car & Utility Vehicles’ 2023 Club Car Tempo Electric 2 Passenger. Golfers began the tournament with a ‘Burton Creek Medical Clinic/Ozarks Healthcare/Southern Bank/Westgate Realty’ lunch with desserts provided by Central Trust Company. Everyone was able to warm up on the ‘West Plains Bank & Trust Company Driving Range and Putting Green’ and enjoy some pre-tournament beverages compliments of Southern Bank. Additionally, each golfer received a Remax Connection Tournament swag bag, with an official Caddyshack Classic koozie compliments of Justin Shelby – State Farm Insurance. Water, soda, and sports drinks were generously provided compliments of Ozarks Coca-Cola.
Dale Engelbrecht was the big winner of the ‘Wade Insurance Callaway 300 Pro Slope Laser Rangefinder” raffle. The winner of the ‘Butler Heating & Air / West Plains Schools Longest Drive Competition’ was Melissa Swift and Alex Prewett. Jim Perry and took the men’s honors as the ‘Great Rivers Distributing Closest to the Pin’ champion. Bill Cates cleaned up in the ‘Community First Banking Company / Pain Treatment Associates Longest Putt’ contest. There were no winners in the ‘Clear Creek Golf Car & Utility Vehicles’ Hole-In-One Contest. The winning teams were:

The Annual Caddyshack Tournament fundraiser supplements members’ dues to support Chamber programs and seminars, member benefits, economic development initiatives and community partnership events.
