Royals 9, White Sox 1

The Royals scored four runs in the first inning and never trailed en route to a 9-1 victory over the visiting Chicago White Sox at Kauffman Stadium. Royals starter Brad Keller improved to 3-and-3 after allowing one earned run and striking out four through five frames. Nick Pratto went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a pair of runs scored. Michael Massey and Edward Olivares also homered as Kansas City improved to 11-and-27. The Royals will host the White Sox this afternoon for the series finale with right-hander Brady Singer taking the mound. In other news, the team is receiving calls from teams that are interested in trading for reliever Aroldis Chapman.
