COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri softball program (34-24) will head to Norman, Oklahoma, for the 2023 NCAA Norman Regional May 19-21.
Mizzou will open the 2023 NCAA Tournament against California (33-19-1) on Friday. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m., CT at Marita Hynes Field. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
Joining the Tigers in the Norman Regional field is the top overall-seeded Oklahoma (51-1), Hofstra (29-25) along with the California Golden Bears.
The four-team, three-day event will commence with the Sooners taking on Hofstra at 4 p.m., CT Friday on ESPNU.
Friday’s winners will square off in the first of three games Saturday at 2 p.m., CT, while Friday’s losing teams will face off in an elimination game for game two (4:30 p.m.) of Saturday’s tripleheader. The loser of Saturday’s first game will take on the winner of the day’s second game in an elimination game later Saturday night (7:30 p.m.). The winner of Saturday’s final game will take on the winner of the day’s first game on Sunday (1 p.m.) with an if-necessary rematch scheduled for later on Sunday.
The winner of this weekend’s regional will advance to the NCAA Super Regional round against the winner of the Clemson Regional, hosted by 16-seed Clemson, the following weekend.
A limited number of remaining general admission all-session tickets will go on sale to the public on Tuesday at 10 am. General admission all-session tickets will be $75 a piece and will get you into each game of the tournament. If tickets remain, single session seats will go on sale Wednesday at 10 am.

Missouri will compete in its 16th-straight NCAA Tournament (26 total Regional appearances) this season.
The Tigers will look to reach the Women’s College World Series for the seventh time in program history. Mizzou’s last appearance came in 2011 when the Tigers were the ninth overall seed.
