Licking, MO. – On Friday, May 19th, the Texas County Sheriff’s Office made a statement about a manhunt that was underway after a fugitive fled on foot after travelling through Licking, but there has been no sign of the suspect being in custody.
The original address to the public spoke of a criminal chase occurring near Hartville Road and Van Cleve Drive, with ground and air searches being conducted. The suspect, identified simply as a white male, was wanted for stealing a vehicle.
The manhunt did not yield any results and now citizens of Texas County are warned to be wary of suspicious activity on their property. Law Enforcement states that citizens should be on the alert for anyone trying to gain access to vehicles or property in a suspicious manner.
