Nancy Lee (Smith) Graf, daughter of the late Isaac C. and Frances (Hill) Smith was born March 19, 1941, in Brays, Missouri, in Miller County. She passed away May 20, 2023, in Dawson, Missouri.
Nancy graduated high school in Springfield, Missouri, in 1959, and moved to St. Louis where she worked for I.S.O. She met and married Eugene Graf in 1975. They moved to Mobile, Alabama, where they lived until 1978. Nancy didn’t enjoy living in Alabama and was anxious to move back to Missouri, which they did in 1978. Nancy went to work for Mountain Grove Head Start in 1979 and worked there until her retirement in 2003.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed traveling and participating in game night with the Four Old Ladies Club. She was also a member of Eastern Star.
Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, her brother, Charles T. Smith, her sister, Helen Louise (Smith) Dorsey, and her brother-in-law, Edwin R. Dorsey.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald E. Schepp of Iberia, Missouri, and David A. Schepp and his wife, Erica, of Ozark, Missouri, five grandchildren, Allison Gammill and her husband, Derrick, Nicolette Gibeaut and her husband, Jay, Shane, Nicholas, and Conner, four great-grandchildren, Maze, Elanor, Evelyn, and Beau, a sister-in-law, Betty Smith, a very special friend, William “Bill” Freeman, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her.
