Ernie Foster was born on April 10, 1980, to David Lee Foster Sr. and Ellen Irene (Alcorn) Foster in West Plains, Missouri. He died June 3, 2023, at the age of 43.
Ernie was blessed with three children during his life Trenton, Parker, and Benson Foster. On June 17, 2017, Ernie was united in marriage to the love of his life, Heather (McCarthy) Foster.
Ernie was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mary Lou Foster; his grandfather, Ermon Alcorn; his uncles, Bill Foster and Gilbert Alcorn; and cousin, Ben McClellan.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, Heather; sons, Trenton (Aspen), Parker, and Benson; his parents, David and Ellen Foster; in-laws, Cindy Crocker and Michael Gober; grandmothers, Roberta Alcorn and Helen Crocker; his siblings, David Foster Jr. (Jen), Jennifer Fiske (Gene), Jon Foster (Shara), Jessica McCarthy (Darren), Joseph Hong (Nicholle), and Joshua Hong (Natalie); nieces and nephews, AJ (Sydney), Marissa, Hayden, Austin, Kaylie, Alex, McKenna, Payton, Alivia, Henry, Evalynn, Leo, Sierra, Shelby, Jodie, Amelia, Monroe, Hannah, Jonathan, and Kamrynn; and great-nephews, Bryce and Miles.
Ernie loved hunting, fishing, playing basketball, watching the Cardinals, and living life to its fullest. Ernie was a genuinely loving man. He was a great storyteller and loved to laugh. Ernie’s sarcastic sense of humor and lightheartedness led him to always give everyone a hard time. He was a protector and selfless friend that would give everything to help someone in need. No matter if he was in the log woods, driving his big truck, or helping on the farm, Ernie was a hard worker that was always willing to put in extra effort to get the job done. He was an honest and genuine person who always spoke his mind. He treated everyone like family and loved with his whole heart. He was a truly special person who touched the lives of many and will be missed deeply.
Ernie will be laid to rest on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Teresita, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Brake officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
