West Plains Arts Alliance Updates 6-13-23

West Plains, MO. – The fairs and festivals have ended, and we have a short break on big events until July; but that doesn’t mean there isn’t more art to see in June as well. The update this week from the West Plains Arts Alliance and Terry Hampton addresses a workshop and a new mural.

The West Plains Council on the Arts will be putting on a workshop focused on writing for local and visiting youths, to take place in the West Plains Public Library. This will happen from July 10th through the 14th. This will consist of five 3-hour sessions Monday through Thursday for those ages 9-14, and Friday will be for teens aged 15-18.

Currently available for viewing on the Square in West Plains, artists Bolaji Ogunwo has returned and created a new mural next to the previous one in Luster Arcade. It’s called “Release the Peace”, and you’ll see this mural featured in an upcoming video here on our website.
