80-Year-Old Caulfield Man in Serious Condition Following Motorcycle Accident

West Plains, MO. – An 80-year-old motorcyclist is currently being treated after an accident occurred yesterday morning on US 160 at 9:56am.

The investigator who responded to this crash was corporal J.D. Wheeler of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.

Larry Morris, 80 of Caulfield was operating a Harley Davidson, moving Westbound when he attempted to overtake a Chevy vehicle ahead of him, operated by Brendan Hawkins, a 36-year-old from Homer, GA.

Instead of passing however, Morris struck the back of the Chevy and suffered serious injures in the resulting accident.

Morris’ injuries necessitated the use of Air Evac Ambulance services to transport him to Springfield for treatment.
