Motorcycle driver injured in Texas County crash Friday morning

Houston, MO. – A motorcycle driver was injured in a Friday morning crash near Houston. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred on Highway Z, five miles southwest of Houston at 8:30 a.m.

A 2004 Chevy Impala driven by 77-year-old Garold McCoy turned into the path of a Kawasaki Sportsbike driven by Ethan Shaw, age 22 of Houston. Both vehicles received minor damage and the driver of the Chevy was uninjured.

Shaw had been wearing a helmet and suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston by private vehicle for treatment.
