Theodosia Area V.F.D. & Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive Thursday

Join the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, the Ozark County Sheriff, and the Theodosia Area Volunteer Fire Department for their inaugural Boots & Badges Blood Drive on June 29, 2023. The first responders are having a friendly competition at the Theodosia Area Volunteer Fire Department located at 73 John Wesley Drive to see which side can recruit the most blood donors at this fun, family-friendly event.

All blood donors will vote for their favorite agency, and the one with the most votes will be declared the winner.

CBCO is the sole provider of blood, platelets, and plasma to over 40 hospitals in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas, and southeast Kansas.

While supplies last, all successful donors will receive a Boots & Badges T-shirt honoring local first responders, only available at CBCO’s Boots & Badges blood drives.

A voucher for two free general admission tickets to any Springfield Cardinals home game in June or July 2023 (excluding July 4), redeemable through CBCO’s donor rewards store (Click here for redemption instructions: https://bit.ly/40DBaIw)

The blood drive will begin at noon and run until 6 pm. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged to help minimize potential wait times on the drive date. Call 417-227-5006 or click this link to book: https://tinyurl.com/4d2c8wey

Before the blood drive, donors are asked to take a few steps to ensure that donations operate smoothly on the day of the drive:

  1. Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate.
  2. Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving.
  3. Bring your photo identification: This is now required for all donors.
