Mountain Grove, MO. – One resident from Mountain Grove is looking at criminal charges while recovering from serious injuries inflicted during a dirt bike accident.
Time and location was July 3rd, 8:30pm at Countryside Drive, 2 miles West of Mountain Grove. Responding to the accident was Corporal J.R. Sellars of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
Orval Volner, a 38-year-old male from Mountain Grove, was operating a Honda 250RX dirt bike while under the effects of intoxicants, left the roadway, and struck a parked vehicle.
He sustained serious injuries and was not wearing a safety device. Air ambulance services were used to transport Volner to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
Volner is additionally facing charges of Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Revoked, and Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in a Crash.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
