Lake Springs, MO. – A five-vehicle crash on the evening of Monday, August 7th, has injured two individuals.
The location of this crash was in Dent County on Highway 72 near Lake Springs. According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, this accident happened when a Dodge Dakota was stopped in the road, waiting to make a left turn. Raegan Neff, an 18-year-old Salem, MO. driver, failed to notice the Dakota and a stopped Aerostar behind them. She rear-ended the Aerostar, pushing it into the Dakota. Neff’s vehicle, a Chevy Equinox then overturned into the Eastbound lane, where it was struck by two additional vehicles, a Dodge Ram truck and a Nissan Frontier.
Neff was not wearing a safety device in the crash, and suffered moderate injuries. Only one other in this incident was injured, 35-year-old Salem resident, Bradley Abbott, the driver of the Dodge Ram truck. Both were taken to Salem Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The investigator of this accident was Master Sergeant K.D. Wilmont of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop I.
