Intoxicated Arkansas man crashes vehicle near West Plains

West Plains, MO. – A man from Salem, Arkansas has been charged with misdemeanors following a one-vehicle crash near West Plains on Sunday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred on Highway JJ, seven miles south of West Plains at 7:50 p.m. on August 13, 2023.

A southbound 2010 Chevy Impala driven by Keven Anderson, age 59 of Salem, AR., traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree and a sign before stopping. The car suffered moderate damage and Anderson received minor injuries.

Prior to being released for medical treatment, Anderson was charged by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, failure to operate a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and failure to comply with interlock requirements. 

The above charges are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
