Flora “Beth” Bradford

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Beth’s memory to the Summersville Senior Center.

Flora Beth Bradford, better known as Beth was the second child born to Samuel E. Starnes and Clyola E. (Cook) Starnes. She was born April 22, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska. God called his faithful servant to her Heavenly home August 23, 2023 making her age 90 years, 4 months and 1 day.

She graduated from Summerville Schools in 1951. She met and married the love of her life George Emmett Bradford March 22, 1951. She and Emmett were blessed with 64 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. To their family they were blessed with three children Waneta Beth, Doyle Emmett and James Lee.

She worked at Angelica and Rawlings for several years, ending her working career at Summersville RII School where she worked as a Cafeteria supervisor and cook.

She and Emmett were the Shepherds of Midvale Church for over 50 years. She was active in the church, doing whatever was needed.  Later attending Church of God of Prophecy in Summersville. She loved her church family. Beth was saved at a young age during a revival at Arroll Church and was faithful to her Lord and Savior to the end. Her favorite chapter in the bible was Psalms 121.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading her bible and Christian books. Most of all she loved her family, she enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Emmett, her parents, Samuel and Clyola, mother and father–in-law George and Maudie Bradford, her youngest son Rev. James Lee Bradford, son-in-law Calvin Floyd Cooper and twin great grandsons, her brother Arlo Starnes, sisters-in-law Freda Starnes and Lois Starnes, brother-in law Ervin Rice, brothers and sisters-in-law, Woodrow and Marie Bradford, Ella and Arthur Sherrill, Ellen and Otis Rakestraw, Elmer and Yvonne Bradford, Gene Bradford and Mae and Wilbur Linderer.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Waneta Cooper, daughter-in-law Sherry Bradford, son Doyle Bradford (Colleen), grandchildren and great grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Cooper and their sons, Lane Michael and wife Paige,  Lance Maverick and Micaella, Kezra Renea and Jeff Chamberlin and their daughters, Emma Grace, Ella Faith and Evva Hope, Amanda Bradford and Doug Barnes, their children  Chenoa Lee, Chakori Belle and Jamie Harrison, James Lee and Lisa Bradford and their daughters, Zoe Janae, and Jaylee Sue, grandsons Larry (Reta) Cooper, Don (Stephanie) Cooper, Jeff (Sandy) Cooper, Joe (RaeAnn) Cooper, and sister Kay Rice and sister-in-law Clara Mae Bradford. She is also survived by her adopted by love children, Jackie Cooper, Vernon and Carol Sue Gore and family.

Beth loved her Church family very much, and we know they loved her as much. She was blessed by them so many times. She, Emmett and James sang March around the Throne one time for me, can’t you imagine them marching around that throne. We know they are having a time singing to the Heavenly father.
