Pomona, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Office recently released information to the public about an operation that led to the arrest of a man from St. Louis who was wanted for charges of Federal Treason, Stealing, and Domestic Assault.
This arrest occurred on August 29th after Deputies received information on the whereabouts of a wanted man in the Pomona area, north of West Plains. The wanted individual was identified as James Beckring, who had active warrants.
Deputies made contact with the wanted man at the residence they were told about, and Beckring refused to come to the door. This led to the deputies entering the residence and taking Beckring under arrest and into custody without mention of further struggle or injury.
Beckring is currently awaiting extradition and is being housed in the Howell County Adult Detention Center.
