The Royals were swept in their second straight series. Kansas City fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-1 in the series finale at Kauffman Stadium. Starting pitcher Angel Zerpa [[ AHN-hel ]] was handed his third loss after he allowed three earned runs through five-and-two-thirds innings. Bobby Witt Jr. brought home KC’s lone run on a solo shot in the fourth inning. The Royals have lost six straight to fall to 41-and-94. They will remain home to host the Boston Red Sox tomorrow night.
