Cardinals 5, Padres 4

Tommy Edman played “hero” again for the Cardinals. The outfielder crushed a walk-off, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to claim a 5-4 victory over the Padres in St. Louis. It’s the second straight game Edman has won for his team. Andrew Pallante earned the win after giving up one hit in a scoreless inning of relief. Jordan Walker crushed a three-run homer in the fourth inning as St. Louis secured the series win. The Cards improved to 58-and-76. St. Louis hosts Pittsburgh tomorrow night.
