The Royals were swept in Toronto. Kansas City lost to the Blue Jays 5-2 in the finale of the three-game set at the Rogers Centre. Taylor Clarke was charged with his fifth loss after letting up a run in one inning of relief. In the losing effort, Salvador Perez and Bobby Witt Jr. drove in a run for KC. The Royals have lost four straight to slip to 44-and-100. They will continue their road trip tonight against the Chicago White Sox. Right-hander Brady Singer is slated to start the series opener.
