The Cardinals gave up five runs in the bottom of the fifth during an 11-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. The Cardinals led by two entering the frame, but Dakota Hudson and Andre Pallante gave the lead. Hudson was charged with his second loss after allowing seven runs on eight hits in four-and-a-third innings. Willson Contreras drove in a pair of runs in the losing effort. Adam Wainwright will start against Baltimore tonight.

Outfielder Dylan Carlson may be making his way back to the Cardinals line-up before the end of the regular season. Carlson resumed baseball activity yesterday. The 24-year-old has been on the injured list since August 12th as he deals with ankle soreness and an oblique strain. The team has not officially stated whether it expects Carlson to return before the offseason. Carlson is hitting .219 with five home runs and 27 RBI in 76 games this season.
