Eldridge Leavon Lambert

ldridge Leavon Lambert, 87 years, 1 month, and 7 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on September 28, 2023 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center with family by his side.

On August 21, 1936, Leavon was born to Ferley and Eula (Cole) Lambert in a log cabin in Drury, Missouri.

Leavon and Karen Koop were joined in marriage on October 11, 1975 at the Highway Church of the Nazarene by the Reverend John Moles.

Leavon worked as a welder and mechanic at Hutchens Industries in Seymour, Missouri for over 25 years. He  enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing bluegrass music and loved opportunities to learn other trades.

He was a Christian and he and Karen attended the Evans Church for years and later attended the Ava Assembly of God. His joy was being with his family!

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Burton; son, Kevin Wayne Lambert; one brother, Bob Lambert; one granddaughter, Andrea Trujillo and a great granddaughter, Raeanna Reynolds.

Leavon is survived by his wife, Karen; his children and their spouses, Brenda & Elfido Trujillo, Sharon & Jerry Wheeler, Rick & Rebecca Lambert, Tom & Deonna Koop, Ben & Micca Koop, Carrie & William Fitzgerald, and Daniel & Kimberly Lambert; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one sister, Donna Gifford;      many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Leavon will be Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the New Hope Cemetery, Douglas County. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 1 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd.
