West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Zizzers brought the fire in their game against the Kickapoo Chiefs. Out of the gate, a 78-yard touchdown gave the Zizzers the lead, which they only gave away very briefly in the 2nd quarter. More good plays helped the Zizzers break the tit-for-tat scoring from both sides while still in the first half. However, Kickapoo refused to remain behind, and managed to take the ball from West Plains 3 times, which led to 3 subsequent touchdowns. Q2 ended 35-27 in favor of Kickapoo.
During the 3rd quarter, Kickapoo managed to maintain their lead, simply stalling out the Zizzers. Despite the length of the quarter with many back-and-forth plays, the Zizzers never managed to regain their traction against their opponent. Q3 ended with Kickapoo leading with a good margin, 49 to 27.
In the 4th quarter, the Zizzers managed to break their score drought, but with the game being as late as it was, the gap was too large to surpass. The game ends with Zizzers scoring at 35, and Kickapoo at 49.
