Arkansas Woman Arrested for Fraudulent Lottery Winning

Mountain Home, AR. – A resident of Mountain Home is facing felony charges and time in court over her role in the use of unpaid for lottery tickets.

According to the probable cause statement on the case, Mary Olivieri, 31 of Mountain Home, was reported as having activated books of lottery tickets without paying for them and taking those tickets to businesses across the area to be redeemed.

In addition, it states the majority of these tickets were cashed out at Wal-Mart in Mountain Home for a total of over $53,000. This numerical value was obtained from an Arkansas State Lottery Commission Investigator.

Olivieri claims she paid for the tickets and couldn’t understand where the money was going.

Criminal charges include Class B Felony Theft of Property, and Class D Felony Lottery Fraud. Her bond was set at $50,000 but she has since been released.
