State girls golf after day 1 Liberty’s Kameryn Wood is alone atop the Class 1 leaderboard after a first-day 85. She is one stroke head of South Harrison’s Abrielle Owens.
The West Plains Cross Country Zizzers were Conference Champions on Saturday at Lake Springfield as they competed in the Ozark Conference Championships for the last year. The Lady Zizzers were a close second to Team Champion Bolivar.
District Volleyball gets underway this week. In class one district 7 to be played at Winona. Thursday #4 Summersville plays #5 Couch at 5pm and #3 Bakersfield plays #6 Kosh at 630 both games will be broadcast on The Fox 969. The #1 seed Winona and #2 seed Eminence get first round byes.
In class 1 district 8 volleyball #4 Dora plays #6 Greenwood at 6pm tonight at Bradleyville.
Class 2 district 8 volleyball couple local teams picked up the top two seeds and get first round byes #1 Licking and #2 Houston they will play their first district game on Thursday at Dixon.
Class 2 district 9 volleyball tonight #4 Mansfield plays #5 Gainesville at 530 and #3 Cabool plays #6 Seymour at 630 games will all be played at Cabool #1 Thayer and #2 Liberty get first round byes and will play their first district game on Thursday.
Class 3 district 11 volleyball #3 Forsyth plays #6 Ava at 630 tonight at Mountain Grove. #1 Mountain Grove and #2 Willow Springs got first round byes all game will be Played at Mountain Grove.
Class 4 district 5 volleyball districts played at Jeff City, tonight #4 West Plains plays #5 Union at 630pm.
