Theodosia Man Faces Multiple Felony Charges After Firing At Someone

Theodosia, MO. – A man from Theodosia is being charged with multiple felonies after shooting at another man during an argument.

On October 12th, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to Theodosia to a call of a shooting. While investigating on-scene, it was found that James Reed, an 81-year-old local resident, had discharged a rifle round at another man during an argument about tenancy-related matters at a residence. The round had struck the victims vehicle.

A 30-30 pump-action rifle was found at Reed’s residence with a spent round in the chamber. Reed was additionally found to have a previous felony conviction from Arkansas, and is not permitted to own a firearm.

Reed is facing a charge of Felony 1st Degree Harassment, Felony Armed Criminal Action, Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and a misdemeanor charge of 2nd Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.
