Houston, MO. – An Edgar Springs woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Sunday morning in Texas County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred on US 63, four miles north of Licking at 6 a.m. on Nov. 5, 2023.
A southbound Volkswagen Jetta driven by Deeann Morris, age 42, ran off the right side of the roadway, and struck a guard rail. The vehicle then returned to the road and impacted the guard rail on the left side of the roadway before it overturned. Morris had not been wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle as it tumbled down a steep ravine.

Deeann Morris was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash by the Texas County Coroner.
