West Plains, MO. – A crash that occurred in July of this year that involved an 18-year-old driver, two 15-year-old teens, and a baby has led to formal charges for the driver.
In this crash, it was reported that Addison Skains, 18 of Drury, traveled off the roadway while operating a Ford Focus. The Focus was totaled when it struck a tree. Skains was injured along with two 15-year-old female juveniles, and a less-than-year-old male baby.
Neither Skains nor the baby were found to be using a safety device, which included a lack of any car seat or other child restraint for the infant. This led to one of the 15-year-olds and the infant being flown to Springfield with serious injuries.
