Geraldine Barton, age 84 of Alton, MO was born December 27, 1937 near Alton, MO to Grover and Rena Barton and passed away November 7, 2023, in Springfield, MO.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years W.T. Barton of the family home. She is also survived by her three sons, Greg (Regina), Randall, and Jeff (Edith) Barton, all of Alton, MO., four grandchildren, Erin Melby (Heath), Jonathan Barton (Amber), Cortney Warren (Dustin) and Tyler (Candice) Barton, 11 great-grandchildren, Jadeyn and Jasper Melby, Jordan and Brooks Barton, Peyton, Lanie, Cameron and Lawson Moyer, Jesse Barton, Kadynce and Emersyn Warren, two sisters, Maxine Walters and Pauline Phillips and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, always ready to spoil all her kids, especially her grandkids. She was a longtime member of the Alton Assembly of God Church. She prayed for her family and was a wonderful example of a Christian to all who knew her.
Visitation will Noon-1:00 pm Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Alton Assembly of God Church, with services to follow at 1:00 pm, with Bro. JR Andrews and Bro, Robert Chastain officiating, Interment will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery, arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
