West Plains, MO. – On State Route BB, a pair of teens from West Plains were injured in an overturn crash in the morning hours.
This crash took place at 7:30 a.m., roughly 1 mile North of State Route 160. Carley Collins was the 18-year-old driver in this incident. She was operating a GMC 1500 and traveling Northbound when she ran off the right side of the roadway. This led to an overcorrection and an overturn off the left side. The vehicle was totaled.
Collins was seriously injured and was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. Her 17-year-old male passenger was inflicted with only minor injuries and sought medical treatment through private means. Neither were wearing their safety devices.
Investigation on this accident was performed by Trooper C.C. Battreal of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
