City of West Plains Announces Tree Lighting Ceremony

West Plains, MO. – Those driving through West Plains may notice that Christmas decorations have made their way onto utility poles and other fixtures throughout the city. Christmas festivities are fast approaching, and city officials have announced the date and time of the official tree-lighting ceremony.

The day will be Friday, December 1st. The time will be 6 p.m., and as usual, the tree and ceremony will take place on the lawn of the Howell County courthouse. City officials are excited to see as many people as possible arrive for the event, and the possibility of extra events or activities during the tree-lighting appears to be likely.
